Learn What’s Trending At Advance Energy Conference 2016!
Energy is something the world depends upon for a myriad of reasons ranging from power, heat, food production to transportation. The race to create innovative technologies in order to meet these needs while cutting costs and improving the way we use energy is tremendous and very exciting!
In this special series called the Clean Energy View, which focuses on the world of clean energy, New York’s Energy Luminary, Mr. Robert Catell gives us the scoop on this year’s Advanced Energy Conference which will be held in New York City at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, from April 20th through the 22nd.
Mr. Catell is the Chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) at New York State University at Stony Brook. To listen to the interview, press play on the video below:
Advanced Energy Conference Information:
The Advanced Energy Research & Technology Center (AERTC.org) which is based at New York State University at Stony Brook is a true partnership of academic institutions, research institutions, energy providers and industrial corporations.
The AERTC works to develop advanced cutting-edge technologies to explore new ways for the production of clean energy, enhancing production from renewable sources, and finding efficient methods for distribution and storage of energy with minimal impact on local ecosystems. Its mission is innovative energy research, education and technology deployment with a focus on efficiency, conservation, renewable energy and nanotechnology applications for new and novel sources of energy and to strengthen partnerships among the business, government and academic sectors, to help move towards a sustainable energy future that strengthens the economy, the environment and policy at all levels of government.
Advanced Energy 2016 will put special emphasis on several key areas: Smart Grid, Solar, Offshore Wind, and Battery and Energy Storage.
This is a “must” event for any organization or individual with an interest in these evolving technologies, but it doesn’t end there – a range of other areas will be spotlighted as well, including BioEnergy, Building Efficiency and Alternative Fuel Vehicles.
Breakthrough storage technologies … and evolving concepts in localized MicroGrids integrated with distributed generation. These are two critical elements shaping the future of energy generation and consumption. Both are featured, each as a two-session sequence, in the Advanced Energy 2016 educational program.
Date: April 20-22, 2016 at the Jacob Javitz Center in New York City.
